This is a fantastic opportunity for a communications specialist to join a global law firm as their Communications Executive.

The successful applicant will enjoy a varied role. You will start to cultivate and maintain relationships with the press, drafting press releases in relation to UK firm news including strategy initiatives, diversity, pro-bono, and graduate recruitment and pitching synopses to journalists to secure coverage in the trade media. You will need to create an internal daily alert of relevant press coverage and maintain and keep up-to-date a spread sheet of press mentions, using this to create monthly media reports for key practice areas. The Communications Executive will support to the Global Head of Communications with briefing notes, key talking points and hymn sheets for the CEO and London Managing Partner. You will be responsible for alerting the Communications Team to any award submission deadlines and coordinate the submission process and will support data gathering and filling out of annual legal surveys. You will also be tasked with monitoring the firm's Press Office Twitter Page and sharing uploaded press releases and links to positive coverage via social media channels. Administrative support with ad hoc campaigns and media training sessions for partners and other relevant staff will represent an important element of the role.

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant area, such as marketing, communications or journalism, and proven relevant experience in a large dynamic firm or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working in a partnership within a professional services firm is strongly preferable. The Communications Executive will possess exceptional judgment, discretion, responsiveness and initiative combined with outstanding communication, writing and editing skills and the ability to interface with all levels of personnel within the firm.
