Description

* Lead the development and authoring of bids and proposals to Trusts and Foundations, Big Lottery, Government (national and local) and other funding Invitations to Tender / Requests for Proposals
* Work with the Innovation team and Heads of Department to scope out and cost a pipeline of projects aligned to our mission and strategy, to respond to funding opportunities as they arise
* Responsible for ensuring the Fundraising activities are compliant with all relevant Fundraising, ISO and other regulatory or governance requirements
* Prepare and deliver high quality presentations to potential funders
* Undertake rigorous identification of prospective funders and detailed research to identify new sources of income (through desktop research and face to face networking)
* Devise strategies to develop, extend and strengthen relationships with current funders to increase our awareness of opportunities and increase our rate of success in securing funding
* Work collaboratively with the Innovation team and Heads of Departments, to scope out and cost a pipeline of projects aligned to our mission and strategy, such that we are ready to respond to funding opportunities as they arise
* Track income on a monthly basis and produce regular progress reports on pipeline and submitted bids
* Work with our Research & Insight team to utilise statistics
* Working with the Programme Manager, provide regular programme reports to funder as required
* Attend grant and funder workshops/events in order to meet potential and future funders, develop relationships and keep abreast of latest trends


Profile

* Proven experience of fundraising from a range of sources, including trusts and foundations, government and Big Lottery
* Proven ability to think strategically
* Proven ability to develop and implement successful fundraising initiatives and processes
* Experience of researching funding opportunities
* Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising techniques
* Track record of securing funding
