Research and Sustainability Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and creative Research and Sustainability Manager with technical expertise. You will be an avid thought leader as well as a fabulous communicator who enjoys working collaboratively. This role involves managing the research and sustainable building advisory work within the firm, with an objective to explore, develop and execute methods of thinking that enhance the ability to create positive impact environmentally as well as socially.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • A degree in architecture (or equivalent relating to sustainable building design)
  • A passion and enthusiasm for sustainability in design and in lifestyle
  • The drive to improve the world we live in, always looking ahead and eager to inspire
  • Organised project management skills to coordinate multiple team members and deadlines
  • A high level of self-motivation, to initiate research projects relating to values of the firm
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable, yet with demonstrated initiative and multitasking capabilities
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of directing and coordinating the Canadian LEED Green Building Rating Systems, Living Building Challenge, Passive House, and other sustainable design performance programs
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts in a way that is easy to grasp for colleagues and clients alike

Salary: CAD 65,000 - CAD 80,000
