A newly created role that will lead the category planning and team in order to deliver best in class category management across a premium portfolio in order to drive profitable growth and build long term relationships with the retailers.

Client Details

Our client are a global business that have a premium-led portfolio of FMCG brands.


The Senior Category manager will be responsible for the following:

* delivering category leadership in the sector to our customers both internally and externally becoming renowned for creating and implementing category insights which drive profitable growth & market share.

* Development and delivery of an insight led category plan with priority customers

* Works with Sales, Marketing and Customer Marketing to use these insights to assist in the delivery of commercial objectives and enhance the development of the key brands.

* Takes responsibility for communicating initiatives and insights to the wider business to ensure relevant departments are fully informed of the latest category activity, intelligence and insights

* Lead and develop the Category management team of 4


The candidate that secures the Senior Category Manager position will bring the following key skills and attributes to the position:

* Significant FMCG category management - the ability to develop strategic thinking and vision in order to create clear priorities
* Working knowledge of key grocery multiples in order to demonstrate maximum impact of category initiatives
* Can demonstrate excellent relationship building capability cross-functionally and externally
* An excellent communicator & commercial thinker
* Passionate about people and developing talent
* Happy to work in London on a daily basis
