This role is responsible for the identity, development, marketing planning, market implementation and promotion of experiences and loyalty products for the Society.

The Key responsibilities for the Product Marketing Manager include:

* To support the society in achieving its mission by increasing the acquisition and retention of memberships

* Develop and deliver effective marketing and promotional strategies for each commercial product and be accountable for the whole product life cycle across a portfolio of experiences and overnight accommodation provision: from review and research, through to new ideas, business case, testing, marketing implementing, promotion, events and sales reports

* Work closely with key delivery teams such as guest services and various departments to develop each product to exceed customer expectations and stand out in the competitive market place

* Work closely with the data officer to report regularly on the sales of products and to implement effective tactical promotions

* Develop and deliver a robust education marketing and communications plan that drives school bookings and builds loyalty

* Effectively and efficiently line manage the product marketing assistant

* Be accountable for groups marketing: brownies, guides, tour trips etc

* Work closely with the data officer and education team to build a usable and up-to-date data set for education and groups marketing

* Build and communicate with a network of third party supporters and promoters to develop loyalty and increase sales across all elements of the role

* Produce a detailed monthly report for the Head of Marketing and Development

* Work with the Marketing and Development team to effectively promote all products


The Successful Product Marketing Manager:

* Knowledge of marketing planning, researching and analysing markets

* Knowledge of taking products to market, from research to implementation and analysis

* Knowledge of working with and extracting marketing information from relational databases

* Customer relationship management

* Experience of the tourism sector - Desirable


Experience of the education sector - Desirable

* High level of computer literacy including Excel, Work, Outlook and databases

* Marketing campaign management

* Analytic skills

* Work as part of a team and self-motivator

* Networking and negotiation skills

* Able to work to deadlines yet remain flexible in managing several tasks


Reside in commutable distance to Bristol
