At Essity we have an opportunity for an Assistant Retail Brand Manager to join us at our offices in Manchester: working with one of the Top Multiple Retailers in the UK.

The role calls for a confident and driven person, happy working in a customer facing role whilst managing daily interaction with various internal departments including sales, technical development and customer service. First in class communication and project management skills combined with strong commercial acumen are key requirements for right candidate to succeed within the role.

Main Tasks

* Work with Retailer Brand team to develop and implement New Product Development & product change initiatives (e.g. new product launches, product improvements, cost savings) to exploit opportunities as identified in strategic planning process
* Support Retailer Brand team in the development and execution of shopper marketing campaigns
* Liaison with tactical marketing activation agencies to include writing briefs, agency management and reporting
* Support customers & internal teams through providing information on products, specifications and artwork
* Management of competitor activity, including development of competitor log and reviews of all product specification changes
* Management of marketing expense budget in line with agreed customer & internal objectives (including reporting on monthly basis)
* Promote Retail Brand products internally through producing bulletins and presenting product launches
* Liaison with Consumer Relations team in the day to day management and processing of all Retailer Brand complaints. Input into complaints escalation process and impact on customer relationship. Production of necessary product material to support the complaints and customer services briefing process
* Timely reporting of complaint levels to both internal and external customers

Key Competencies

- Degree or equivalent in Marketing discipline

- Other professional marketing qualification (e.g. CIM)

- Experience of brand and/or retailer brand marketing in a commercial / FMCG environment

- Previous customer facing experience would be an advantage for this role

- Excellent communication skills

- Commercial mindset and understanding

- Excellent project management skills

- Can do & proactive attitude
