Purpose of the role

Working with the Savings Director to monitor the market, commercial performance and analyse existing customer behaviour to make appropriate recommendations and take forward proposals to appropriate governance forums.

Duties and responsibilities

* Simplify complex concepts to encourage stakeholder buy-in for new initiatives to improve engagement, cross sales and retention
* Use market, customer or commercial insights to justify customer journey enhancements covering all elements of the proposition. Proposition development includes product, pricing, distribution, promotion, process review and people engagement
* Product: Identify and deliver opportunities for the introduction of new products and product enhancements to improve engagement, cross sales and retention
* Pricing: Monitoring competitor activity and the external market environment communicating findings to key stakeholders, combined with performance measurement, to inform proposition proposals to deliver retention in line with business plan
* Distribution: Strategic review of distribution options to improve engagement. Inform new acquisition tactics through identifying indicators of propensity to retain
* Promotion: Working cross functionally to install best practice engagement, cross sales and retention
* Process Review: Own the development and evolution of the savings customer journey to ensure effective engagement and retention activity. Identify the likely impact of different product initiatives on the customer journey
* People Management: Work with specialist business partners to shape customer service delivery to reinforce proposition enhancements, ensure compliance and positive customer outcomes



Skills

* Highly numerate
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Strong IT skills, particularly with spreadsheets
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
* An inquisitive mind and the confidence to ask questions to develop knowledge and understanding
* Be comfortable overseeing work by support functions and working on your own initiative
* Driven to investigate and solve problems independently
* Proficiency in analysing data and reporting findings effectively
