A leading legal firm is looking for a Senior BD Executive to work closely with the Sector Lead for the Asset Management & Investment Funds sector to manage the day-to-day execution of marketing and business development initiatives across the sector, supporting the development and delivery of a small number of integrated reputation building, relationship deepening and revenue generating.

The job will enable the candidate to work in an international environment, in a busy area of the business where the firm is looking for someone that works well under pressure and delivers to deadlines. The role holder will be expected to develop a high level of knowledge about the type of legal advice and services offered by the AMIF sector group and will need to spend a significant amount of time learning about the firm's capabilities and reading up on legal and regulatory developments in the sector. Specific tasks will include designing and delivering new product offerings, working with partners to define the benefits of the new products and the most effective routes to market and marketing & BD planning and budgeting. You will contribute to the formulation of the sector's internal and external communications strategies and then implement accordingly, ensuring best practice is observed. The Senior BD Executive will be responsible for strengthening the firm's reputation across the AMIF sector through the identification of speaking, advertising and media opportunities and will oversee the project management of directory and award submissions and develop high quality written content. You will assist the AMIF Sector Lead in preparing updates on key trends and opportunities, contributing to brainstorming discussions on how the firm can develop the opportunities highlighted. The successful applicant will own the pitching process for sector specific tenders, including conducting a bid / no bid process, managing resources required for any assigned pitches, gathering of relevant material and information and writing formal responses. On the client development side, you will be tasked with managing and developing both strategic and priority clients.

You will have marketing or BD experience in a professional services firm or relevant sector, preferably with a university degree in business, marketing or a related area and a professional marketing qualification. The Senior BD Executive will be be capable of managing and implementing marketing and BD activities and have previous experience of managing budgets and end to end management of the pitch process. Familiarity with CRM systems, document management systems, intranets, websites and experience in social media, PR and online services would be an advantage.
