Our client is a market leader in its field and they have a new role for a proven digital marketer. This is a key role within the business, reporting to the Managing Director with responsibility to develop and drive the growth of an Ecommerce sales channel.

The role will require you to manage all online activities, driving sales growth, and acting as a multichannel champion to ensure full integration and optimsiation of online/ecommerce opportunities within the business.

Key Tasks
  • Develop and implement an ecommerce trading strategy to maximise sales and profitability across our diverse product and customer base.       
  • Define, agree, plan and implement online campaigns across target markets to cost effectively deliver site visits, and ecommerce sales. 
  • Deliver post campaign analysis to continuously evolve activity.    
  • Proactively review website effectiveness and implement improvements to deliver improved conversion rates, transaction values and margin.   
  • Assume responsibility for selecting and managing external ecommerce / digital suppliers, as well as coordinating with external IT suppliers to deliver projects to grow an integrated ecommerce channel.
  • Driving multichannel optimisation and efficiencies across CRM and ecommerce channels to achieve growth in sales and number of new customers.  
  • Work closely with the Senior management team to develop and implement business change to deliver efficient and effective ecommerce sales.       
  • Shape the online merchandising strategy and will be responsible for analysing ecommerce lessons learnt, historical sales, trends and competition.    
  • Coordinate and contribute to cross channel product information management.      
  • Take responsibility for developing an online team to ensure that all ecommerce activities meet the growth ambitions and enhance profitability      
  • Experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 4 years working in online trading and digital marketing
  • Significant experience in a B2B web environment
  • Previous budgetary responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with experience in successfully managing internal and external stakeholders at a senior level
  • Understanding of ecommerce systems integration
  • Track record of increasing traffic and search rankings whilst driving improved ROI, with a strong understanding of online marketing practices and optimisation tactics
  • Thorough experience working with web analytics software, driving action based on key ecommerce performance metrics to drive growth and continual ROI improvements
  • Extensive experience working with ecommerce and content management systems
  • Strong commercial awareness and a drive to achieve business objectives
  • Highly numerate - able to interpret data to determine decision making, work to budgets and financial plans.
