MARKETING DIRECTOR - Fast growing brand in the footwear category

This is the rarest of opportunities to take a strong branded business and be a key player in turning STRONG into genuinely GREAT. Our client has built an enviable, truly engaged and loyal community of runners / lovers of outdoor pursuits. They now want to build on this success by embarking upon a broader, more inclusive proposition. This approach will be at the heart of their future growth and as such the Marketing Director will be a business critical hire. A member of the Leadership team and with equity in the business, you'll set and define the global marketing strategy, build and upskill the team as well as significantly drive success in the e commerce channel across all key markets. With proven experience across branded multi-channel businesses, you'll bring a combination of customer acquisition and brand equity building strategies, born out by demonstrable results.

You'll have clear views and be able to articulate them into commercially viable strategies, at the same time as building sustainable and successful relationships in order to gain “buy in” and influence. An innate ability in being able to set a clear vision and taking others with you will be fundamental to success, as will be a level of resilience in being part of a passionate and driven leadership team. It will be a distinct advantage if you have gained marketing experience within a related leisure or apparel category for this position.
