The Facts:
An opportunity has arisen to join the design/marketing team of a wonderful children's charity as an experienced creative artworker. This role is primarily based in Watford and would therefore suit somebody who is local or is happy to drive. This is a fixed term contract with a view to permanent.

Working within a highly ambitious directorate, you must be an inspirational creative artwork and production expert with second to none design and production management skills. You will value the importance of getting to grips with brand guidelines, and how to produce beautifully crafted creative content that speaks to the consumer. This takes someone who can turn their hand to a variety of applications and marketing disciplines.

This role will be a direct report (and support) to the Creative Services Manager. The pace of work can at times be demanding, so you'll be capable of working calmly under pressure, will thrive on solving problems and have excellent time management skills.  You will be working to deliver design, creative concepts and imagery for corporate communications to highlight the charity and issues relating to vulnerable children and young people. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role and be confident in taking projects on from brief right through to production.

A thorough understanding of how the print process works and the ability to set up work for print is essential. Any digital experience would be a bonus but not essential.

This role will require someone who can make creative decisions and not simply produce artwork, so you are comfortable with art working and design. There will be opportunities to demonstrate your creative flair as well as your technical ability.

On a day-to-day you could be working across all manner of communications, including events, annual report and accounts, publications and key messages - so good use of typography and layout should shine through in your folio.

You'll be:

  • A team player with bags of initiative and not be afraid to challenge work that is off brand or not to the highest creative standard.  In the nicest possible manner.
  • Flexible, organised, cool-headed and happy to work in a busy environment.
  • Experienced - with a proven track record of working in a similar capacity.

Your superpower:
A doer with bags of energy
