This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading, top 10 organisation within the Global Power Tools Industry. Chervon were established in 1993 with 10 heads and now employ 6000 globally operating at $700M+ turnover. The organisation is privately owned and drives its core values through the day to day running of the business, comprising of Integrity, Diligence, Enthusiasm and Aspiration for its staff to operate by.

Client Details

Chervon operate on both a brand and private label platform with presence in four key categories ranging from Power Tools to Lawn & Garden. The organisation has a family feel to it where people innovate, collaborate and share a joint vision of 'Better Tools, Better World'. Within Chervon, 80% of their business sits within the Power Tools category ensuring constant innovation and pushing the boundaries from the R&D team based in China. The business also prove that they are true inventors and market leaders by manufacturing the industry's first 56v lithium-Ion battery which charges fully in just 30 minutes as part of the EGO ranch (cordless gardening equipment) launched in 2014.


The role of the Trade Marketing Manager is to own the strategy behind increasing brand awareness of the Chervon and Skil brands across the UK & Ireland territories, utilising both above and below the line methods.

Currently Skil is ranked number 4 across Europe. Chervon's 3 year plan is to project this to become the number 2 power tools supplier across the EU. This role is key and will be instrumental in its execution. The UK is to be viewed as the driving force behind Europe, meaning this individual needs to hold synergies with the EU teams and influence them accordingly.

This individual will work hand in hand with the Sales Director and can expect to travel to Paris/ Holland once a month and China 2-3 times a year. The role needs to plan a major, fully integrated launch in the UK, ready for late 2018. This will also include launching a full product portfolio, as well as NPD that the UK hasn't yet experienced.

In order to execute the launch effectively, you will be supported by a generous budget which is to be used for the full launch within the UK.


The successful candidate must come from the DIY sector, or a product that shares the same R2M through the homeware channels. The individual will ideally speak a second language (French) as this presents major progression opportunities down the road when growing your remit.

Furthermore it is imperative the successful candidate has the following traits;

* An entrepreneurial spirit to run projects as if it were your own business

* Expertise in developing a full marketing mix per channel and customer

* Expertise in developing and executing market strategies and launching fully integrated campaigns

* Exposure to increasing SEO through creating digital marketing plans

* Gravitas in front of your colleagues

* A natural rapport builder to influence buyers/ buying directors and marketing managers/ directors

* An understanding of French or German (helpful but not essential)

* A creative thinker who can think outside of the box for improved solutions and performances

* A balanced and well-rounded individual who is likeable but can also get straight to the point

* An active listener who absorbs information and can communicate back successfully

* An individual who is interested in longevity, both in role and relationship building

The personality that will suit this organisation will be confident, focused, pro-active, credible, and results-oriented with a positive mind-set. The individual will also be tolerant and well rounded, able to get along well with others and be a team-player.

Job Offer

Basic salary up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience. Plus a car allowance, pension and 15% bonus.
