Job Title: Marketing Communications Manager

Location: Peterlee

Salary: Circa £28k (depending on experience)

Position: Permanent, Full time

The Company:

Established over 30 years ago, the company, based in Co. Durham, England is a market leader in the field of electrical test instrumentation.

They provide total test solutions to enable companies and organisations to comply with the demands of all types of legislation and covering a wide range of international standards for the manufacturing, medical, 17th edition and safety testing industries.

The company is currently looking to recruit a Marketing Communications Manager to join their team.

Job Purpose:

To lead the co-ordination and execution of both tactical and strategic marketing campaigns throughout the company's global market via both direct and distribution channels within core product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Commercial Director with key projects including organising and executing exhibitions and product launch campaign
* Support the Commercial Director to approve international marketing materials and press releases, international marketing communications plans and international social channel marketing activity
* Work alongside the Commercial Director as a 'brand champion' ensuring strong communication of the brand both in direct sales channels and through distribution partnerships
* The post holder will ensure timely reviews of material and highlight any potential issues to the
* Support the Commercial Director to foster excellent external relationships with distributors. Work alongside distributors and the Commercial Director to deliver style guides and marketing planning and support as necessary
* Support the appointed PR agency on campaign activation including liaising with clients and media.
* Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, trade publications, social media sites for opportunities
* Work with the Commercial Director on presenting campaign evaluations and keeping distribution partners and colleagues updated on activity
* Responsibility for the maintenance and distribution of key company assets such as brand toolkit
* Work with key advertising partners globally and ensure that all materials are provided with the agreed messaging in a timely fashion and where possible promotional materials are tracked for performance
* Gather relevant information from internal stakeholders to develop and deliver the quarterly internal newsletter, develop content and disseminate key internal messages associated with the change programme

KPIs:

* Assist in ensuring marketing activities stay within budget
* Performance monitoring and improvement of print based campaigns
* Performance monitoring and improvement of exposure and lead generation from paid activities such as exhibitions
* Strive to obtain best possible pricing for paid advertising

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

* Degree qualified, preferably in Marketing or Business
* Demonstrable experience of marketing in a product based environment
* To have good understanding and awareness of the key concepts in the marketing mix
* Requires an aptitude for Technical Products and Applications combined with a creative approach to marketing
* Should have experience of managing the workflow of others
* To be flexible and able to manage with a number of varying tasks and different people at one time in a fast paced marketing department
