Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Product Development to provide a 9 Month Maternity Cover leading a team of 6. This person will be working with stakeholders across the business to generate product requirements, build product and services road-maps and leading Product Development in alignment with the business' product proposition.

The Head of Product Development will be responsible for the following:

* Managing the aligned product management team
* Monitoring business roadmap and determining adjustments where necessary
* Facilitating product strategy and vision
* Engaging all stakeholders, including product developers, marketing, operations, finance and segment heads to ensure an integrated product offering
* Liaising with product marketing to understand factors influencing products' users and market conditions, along with providing support for marketing campaigns and operational product information where necessary
* Taking overall responsibility for the relevant product development processes and overseeing the administration of business cases and detailed functional specifications for development, including appropriate wire framing
* Determining UX to ensure customer criteria are adequately addressed
* Working closely with IT project management as required
* Ensuring products are delivered to agreed time-lines and to minimum acceptable technical requirements
* Delivering appropriate product training to key stakeholders


The successful Head of Product Development will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

* Proven experience in Product Owner-based role
* Proven and relevant people management/leadership experience in a product setting
* Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
* Proven experience of scoping product features and functions, seeing through from design to delivery
* Experience of working with accreditation and regulatory bodies and implementing associated programmes
* Commercially-minded
* An effective consensus builder with strong influencing and communications skills to engage with multiple stakeholders
* Collaborative and Adaptable
