Product Development Officer based in Newport within the financial sector.

Description

The Product Development officer will be responsible for:

1. Provide support to the PDM in identifying trends and opportunities for new mortgage/savings product development in line with key strategies and customer propositions identified in the Business Plan.

2. Support the mortgage/savings product end-to-end process including initial feasibility studies, business case production to ensure the viability and success of potential new products.

3. Follow the new product implementation process ensuring that new products are brought in according to procedures.

4. Provide liaison support to the PDM in engaging key stakeholders in the business to ensure all key contacts are involved in product launches, and build, and maintain relationships with those identified.



Monitoring, Competitor & Market Analysis

1. Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the mortgage and savings markets, in order to support the development of new products.

2. Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly monitoring performance reports for key stakeholders in conjunction with BI team.


Profile

The Product development officer will be part of the marketing team which they will need:



* A willingness to learn and understand the product development life cycle

* Preferably a background within a financial services firm

* Experience of writing and presenting analysis reports

* Experience with dealing with large datasets, strong analytical skills

* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with minimum C in English and Maths

* Working knowledge of MCD, MMR, BCOB and MCOB rules

* Customer focused

* Excellent numeracy skills

* Clear and concise written, verbal and presentation skills

* Logical thinker, analytical and problem solving
