Description
The Product Manager's key responsibilities will include:
* Manage the entire product life cycle of a group of models from planning to market launch
* Specify customer's requirements for each model development.
* As Project leader, prepare and present evaluation report to top management at each key step of the model development flow.
* Work closely with all key stakeholders in the R&D and engineering teams to champion customer voice.
* Conduct and manage market research and focus groups to understand customers' acceptance of our products.
* Proactively maintain up to date comprehensive understanding of competitor product strategies and new trends across Europe.
* Manage information flow to Branches and share the planning and status of model development in the European line-up
* Lead the model launch flow working closely with Sales, After-sales, Marketing & PR teams to ensure success of each Pan-European model launch.
* Plan Pan-European events to share complete model information with key stakeholders and Branches.
* Management, motivation and development of direct reports.
Profile
The successful applicant will ideally display:
* Strong leadership and influencing skills coupled to a strong ethic of teamwork in an international environment.
* Natural communicator and strong negotiator, able to build and maintain good relationships across all cultures and disciplines.
* Sales, product planning or other related experience in the automotive industry.
* Extensive knowledge of the car market and keen interest in cars.
* Comprehensive understanding & experience of Market research techniques and delivery.
* High level of numerical competence and strong attention to detail.
* Very well organised with the ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise in order to meet tight deadlines.
* Confident presentation skills.
* Highly proficient PC skills (especially Excel and Powerpoint).
* Able to travel within Europe and work effectively in an international environment
