This long-established independent branding agency near Shoreditch has it's team's wellbeing at heart, and some great core branding projects & clients too…
They are looking for a new senior designer to add to their team - someone who is maybe at the lower end of senior designer level, so not ready for a design director role, and who will share their "oomph" and passion for genuinely ideas-based branding projects.
What makes this job special, I hear you ask? Well partly it's the culture at this agency - it's very positive, friendly, human, and team-oriented. And partly it's the fact that they've a great mix of some meaty bigger clients with some smaller more creatively adventurous clients too. In fact, they believe it is important for designers' continued creative development to maintain this mix.
And they are independent, and intend to remain so. The founders are developing the "next generation" of senior people to take over from them when they decide to step back. They are not looking to be bought by some huge agency group, which is refreshing!
What they are looking for in their new designer is someone who's "grown up" in branding/design agencies, who has one or two meaty branding projects in their folio, but that could be mixed with other things. But most important, someone who starts each project with a core idea and develops the brand, the visual language etc, around that - ideas that are easy to see - that don't have to be explained. What they are not about is designers whose styling is beautiful, but who can't show those core ideas.
You'd get to see projects through from initial pitch or brief, all the way to final design. In most cases, you'd get to meet the client too. And you'll work with a creative director who loves to see his design team really fly!
There are some good benefits too!
