The University of Essex is looking to appoint an Advertising Officer to sit within the marketing and Student Recruitment (MASR) team. 

Duties of the Role

The Advertising Officer will be responsible for the planning, management and execution of all departmental and student recruitment advertising across the University and to do this you will work with our advertising agency and MASR colleagues.

Preparing campaign briefs, advertising copy, and creative and digital assets for a variety of channels feature highly in this role, along with monitoring and assessing campaign performance, discussing and improving in-campaign adjustments and undertaking campaign analysis.

You will also be responsible for managing relationships with external advertising agencies, understating the strategic context and key objectives of campaigns and working closely with the Social Media Campaigns Officer to assist with the execution of social media aspects of campaigns.

Qualifications and Skills required

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent. You need experience of coordinating multichannel campaigns, and to be adept at juggling multiple priorities. You will work with stakeholders across the University therefore your ability to build effective working relationship is also central to delivering successful campaigns.

You will be required to have a strong track record creating online advertising campaigns and have significant experience of copywriting for advertising purposes. It is essential that the post holder has experience of using PhotoShop to create digital assets, a creative flair for design and excellent attention to detail.
