An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing professional to join a forward thinking international law firm as Head of Communications and Content on a 15 month fixed term contract basis. The firm are seeking someone to seamlessly continue the delivery of a high standard of communications, while also delivering a number of high-profile projects for the business including a brand refresh, related content strategy and some major change projects.

This will be a demanding and highly rewarding role for the right candidate, a chance to help a dynamic firm build its brand and market profile, while helping a senior team navigate a period of significant and exciting change. This role will be key to shaping and delivering strategy, including shaping the brand internally and externally; managing the content strategy, including the development and oversight of at least two major campaigns; driving the external communications strategies in line with priority growth areas; driving internal communications and developing the firm's approach to some major change projects; leading on crisis management strategy and scenario planning internationally; and collaborating with the Business Development Director and BD team to deliver wider projects and priorities. The successful applicant will work closely with the Managing Partner and other senior partners, providing sound judgment and advice on sensitive internal and external communications, maintaining a high level of engagement and momentum among the international communications team and effectively managing a UK team of four, ensuring activity is fully aligned with the firm's strategic objectives. The Head of Communications and Content will also provide an advisory function to the Managing Partner, the Executive Board and partners, ensuring the firm's strategic goals are in line with reputational aims, adapting or developing key firm wide messages if necessary in line with strategy and advising on related stakeholder communication opportunities and needs. You will also act as the gate-keeper for internal communications, using your knowledge of internal mood to advise on effective and sensitive messaging and providing discreet and sound judgment in potential crisis scenarios.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, with excellent communication, listening and influencing skills, able to motivate others and provide clear direction and focus. An ability to establish effective working relationships at every level of the organisation must be allied with a proven track record of delivering high quality external and internal communications within a corporate environment and experience of implementing content strategy in a professional services environment. Self-motivated, professional and able to work effectively under pressure, whilst supporting others to do the same, the Head of Communications and Content will possess a high level of initiative and persistence and be able to work with a considerable amount of complex and detailed information and effectively manage several projects concurrently, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
