The Strategy and Engagement Service has a team of around 60 staff and sits within the Customer and Support Services Directorate.

Delivering strategic communications, ensuring our residents are informed and that we engage with them in meaningful ways where they are able to influence the decisions the Council makes are core to our work, which can range from working with the media, to marketing, driving behavioural change campaigns or running consultations. 

The role holder will bring teams together to inspire collaboration, promoting best theory and practice around an integrated approach and leading marketing communications planning and integrated campaigns at both a strategic and tactical level to achieve the Council's long-term business objectives. 
Managing group of marketing and campaign officers to make maximum impact across all plans and campaigns, this role is accountable for the delivery of Cornwall Council marketing and campaign objectives which support income generation, service improvement or behavioural change. 
The role manages, develops, implements and evaluates integrated marketing and campaigns across a wide range of disciplines, maintaining key stakeholder relationships and ensuring senior stakeholders are informed and involved. 

The role also ensures services have the necessary marketing advice to support the delivery of their commercial activities and projects. 

You will work closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement and be a key member of the Communications and Engagement senior management team.
