The role of product manager is for a specialist publications business that is consumer facing. They are one of the market leaders in their area and are looking for someone with a strong promotional/marketing/project management capability to join the team.

Client Details

The client has a very specialist focus but operate more than 40 publications in this area and sell millions of copies every month. They work as a close knit team where everyone has a significant impact on the business and it's growth. Due to positive recent company events they are looking to drive additional growth in new channels and this person will play a key role in helping them to do this.


The key responsibilities include the following:
Be highly organised and proactive in looking for ways to improve company market share, including but not limited to the following: Launch campaigns, trade marketing activity, cover design, merchandising, overall presentation to consumer etc.
Explore new potential channels and products to increase sales and market share
Take a project management approach to ensuring multiple areas are researched, analysed and delivered within timescales
Be hands on with helping to 'get things done' across a variety of areas
Liaise with international head office to ensure activities are aligned correctly


The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Be degree educated, to a minimum 2:1
Have a good general knowledge of media/publications promotion, marketing and product development
Be an excellent project manager and able to manage own activity and senior stakeholder relationships
Be proactive in helping to generate new ideas with clear commercial reasoning
