A design-led East London based Architectural practice are seeking a Studio Administrator and Receptionist to join their team for a 12 month maternity cover contract, with view to potentially extend. The practice specialises in contemporary architecture, interior design, urban planning and product design and operates on an international level. It is also well known for its impressive arty and creative studio. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who thrives working in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all guests
  • Answering and transferring calls
  • Taking clear and concise messages
  • Receiving and distributing post
  • Organising meeting rooms
  • Ordering supplies
  • Keeping the studio tidy
  • General administrative support to studio members
  • Assisting with social media and press
  • Organising digital image and photo library

Key skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive approach
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in team but also use own initiative
  • Enjoy working in a creative environment
  • Knowledge of word processing and database software
  • Adobe InDesign beneficial
