Aston Martin Red Bull Racing is a leading Formula One team. The team is a key marketing arm of Red Bull, the Energy Drink company and duly represents the ethos, culture and brand values of one of the world's pioneering contemporary consumer brands; a global company and multi-platform media operator that has sold more than 60bn cans of Red Bull worldwide in its short history.
Working as part of the Communications Team, the Press Officer will be responsible for proactively delivering Team communications, working with a variety of international media (print, broadcast and online) to promote the team's brand and reputation. You will also assist with media enquiries and use your language and communication skills to provide support to the department, in addition to managing the team's media outlets and databases. This role also supports the creation and delivery of unique and powerful activation programmes capitalising on Aston Martin Red Bull Racing's unique brand attributes and on-track achievement.
You will be an excellent communicator, media-savvy in traditional and digital platforms, and have strong interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain positive relationships. You will be enthusiastic and creative with the flexibility to work as part of a small, agile and busy team that operates within a fast-paced and energetic environment. International travel is a central part of the role, representing the team at Formula One events.
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills are a must. You would ideally have at least two years' experience of working with international media and be fluent in at least two European languages, with one of them being English. German speakers are preferable.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Relevant experience, having worked previously in a similar role within a sports, or lifestyle brand, either in-house or in an agency role
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as editorial judgement
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starting and a willingness to learn new responsibilities
- Willingness to take on responsibility
- Literacy and confidence in using digital and social media
