Designer and Web Publishing Specialist
£35,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience + package with flexible working around core hours

Located in the highly prestigious St Peter's Square development in the city centre, Distrelec are establishing their new Enterprise Hub and hiring a Designer and Web Publishing Specialist.

The Enterprise Hub will be the European centre for the implementation of their new digital operations that will deliver all online trading, marketing and technical deliveries for the organisation.  

Distrelec, part of the Datwyler group, is a leading online distributor for electronics, automation, measurement technology, IT and accessories in Europe and the exciting new Enterprise Hub in Manchester will be its first operational presence in the UK.

The role:
You will be working very closely within the Online Trading team and will be reporting in to the Creative Services Team Leader. The Designer and Web Publishing Specialist will have the responsibility of producing a range of online and offline creative materials to support the campaign management team. This will include email, onsite pages, imagery/banners and video amongst others. You will also be assisting in maintaining the creative and style guidelines for the company brand.

Key accountabilities:
You will have the opportunity to be empowered and can show off your entrepreneurial flair! The main responsibilities of the role will include contributing to the online style and brand guidelines to ensure the brand visuals are consistent. You will design, build and publish microsites and targeted landing pages to support the campaign management team. You will also design, build/edit and publish video content in support of the campaign management team. Part of the role will involve you supporting the UAT team to ensure that style and creative direction has been adhered to.

Skills & experience:
Previous experience is highly essential, you must have used Adobe Creative Suite and will have ideally designed for desktop, tablet and mobile applications. You must have an understanding and practical use of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript and will have working experience of producing, editing and publishing video content. You will be working as part of a fast paced, online trading team. Please get in touch if you are a fantastic designer who has lots of ideas!
