Client Details

My client is a Market leading FMCG business who have an impressive portfolio of recognisable brands. They're very innovative and differ net in comparison to their competitors and have huge growth potentially across the category. They are renowned for their culture and developing their staff and as a result are now looking for a Category & Insights Manager to join their team.


The Category & Insights Manager will be responsible for:

* Manage independent Category/Insights based relationships with selected Customers
* Support with the development & internal/external roll out of Category Vision
* Champion & challenge where appropriate that the business make decisions based on fact and insight leading to better commercial decision making
* Proactively analyse and interpret data identifying key trends and opportunities
* Partner with external data agencies to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of information
* Take ownership for the preparation and maintenance of internal market reports liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet the business needs
* Pro-actively support (go-to person) the commercial team (Sales and Marketing) with category, brand and customer reviews
* Champion self-service of information across the business and support the up-skilling of other functions


The Category & Insights Manager will ideally display:

* 2+ years' experience within FMCG industry
* IRI/Nielsen and Kantar experience
* Experience using Retailer Data e.g. Dunnhumby, Nectar
* Strong Excel & Powerpoint knowledge
* Industry experience (preferable but not required)
* Experience handling large quantities of data and data from difference sources e.g. shopper & market data
* Experience and evidence of proven wins
* Ability to turn data into insight into action
* Experience presenting in front of clients and customers
* Experience managing timelines and deadlines and multiple requests
