This job is heavily reliant on SQL ability, and being able to create marketing recommendations based upon the findings of the data.

Furthermore, the Marketing Insight role is critical to the business, so the candidate must also be enthusiastic and confident in their ability.

Client Details

Our client is a large distributor of solutions and technology products for electronic system maintenance, repair and design throughout Europe, NA and APAC. They also continue to grow, with operations in 36 countries and trading in over 100.

Their offices, based in Leeds, are both modern and open- with an on site gym for employees, subsidised restaurants and a subsidised Costa Coffee. There is also parking for employees!


The role will deliver timely and accurate Marketing analysis across all of the established Marketing channels, and they will also drive improvements in regards to the effectiveness of campaigns and marketing investments and activities. You should also be able to establish the Return of Investment of these.

Analysis will be accurate, consistent and delivered on time to support campaigns and decision making, and ensure the sales and marketing teams can make informed decisions based on valuable insight that you will give. The insightful and value adding recommendations and Insight will drive improvements in the effectiveness of marketing & eCommerce activities.

These insights will support the development of new approaches to understanding marketing & eCommerce effectiveness, and include multi variant testing (MVT) attribution modelling, conversion funnel and customer segmentation analytics.

You will also be tasked with the delivery of commercial insight through data and analytics with high quality, efficient and timely analysis of marketing activities to measure effectiveness of investments and activity.

The Marketing Insight role will also support the development of consistent global reporting using common data sets, tools and processes, working with external providers and in close collaboration with the IM team to ensure consistency and minimal duplication.

Finally, you will be supporting key internal stakeholders with ad-hoc requests for insight, whilst standardising processes to increase productivity and efficiency within the team, and then working with colleagues abroad to automate base reporting.


The Marketing Insight candidate should have a demonstrable experience of at least 3 years working in an analysis environment essential with examples of positive business impact through the use of data.

The most important requirement for this role, is SQL programming; and experience is absolutely essential.

You should also have an advanced knowledge of Business Analytics Tools and Techniques and appropriate software (SQL / SAS / SFDC / SSIS / SSRS) alongside an understanding of attribution modelling and MVT.

You should also posses excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical results to non technical people and make your point both tangible and informative.

Finally, you must be inquisitive and passionate about Data!
