Head of Sales - Contemporary Lighting
An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Sales to join the team at a renowned lighting, furniture and product design studio in Central London.
The company is headed up by a well-respected designer who has collaborated with some of the top names in the contemporary product / furniture design industry. The current route to market is via furniture and lighting dealerships and retailers as well as direct to architects and interior designers. As part of the continued expansion and the next phase of development the company now requires a strategic, Head of Sales to come on board and helm the sales team through the next stage of growth.
The Head of Sales will manage the small team of 3 staff and will work to enhance current routes to market while developing new sales channels and partners. The role will be based at the contemporary studio space in London but will involve external meetings with clients in the London area and abroad when required. The company also exhibit at many of the international design events and the Head of Sales will be responsible for fronting the operation during these important networking events.
The Head of Sales will need an acute understanding of the brand and its position in the marketplace in order to be able to determine suitable new sales channels. This is vital to the brands ongoing development and position within the market.
In summary, the Head of Sales will need to come from another top end, interiors / product design brand. You will need to be an excellent negotiator and relationship builder. You will also need to have experience of playing a significant part in a company's sales development and you will be able to demonstrate how your strategic input enhanced your employer's success.
