Major Players are working with a fantastic creative agency based in East London with expertise in advertising, retail design, branding, experiential and digital. They are currently looking for a Resource Manager to join their team and resource, plan and traffic project work across multiple departments.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director you will be the central planning resource, ensuring a seamless and efficient flow of project work through the various functions and territories, on time and in budget. Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the company resourcing platform to provide accurate, daily information
  • Disseminating resource planning information to all relevant staff
  • Promoting regular use of and engagement with resource planning systems to all relevant staff
  • Attending all project planning meetings along with Function and Project Managers
  • Agreeing with Function Managers and Creative Directors appropriate teams for projects
  • Working with Function Managers to build project budgets and timelines based on resource availability
  • Planning resource in line with project budgets
  • Running regular full team planning meetings
  • Ensuring staff understand available time allocation and budget for jobs they are assigned to
  • Organising ad hoc resourcing meetings in line with project needs
  • Providing progress and status updates for Function and Territory managers, and updating resource planning systems to maintain daily accuracy
  • Identifying short, medium and long term freelance requirements
  • Maintaining and developing direct and recruiter based relationships
  • Booking all freelance resource for the relevant functions in line with capacity needs whilst operating within freelance cost budgets

The Candidate

  • 3+ years experience in a similar , international agency environment
  • Experience using dedicated resource planning software
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Apps
  • Strong analytical skills to understand 'whole business' requirements and distill into effective plans
  • Decision making skills to help recognise and resolve problems and opportunities quickly and correctly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with people across functions including directors, territory heads, clients, suppliers etc.
  • Able to manage workload efficiently and delegate appropriately
  • Thorough, methodical and practical mindset with a can do attitude
  • Solution focused
