General Manager - High End Fabrics for Interior Design
An opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join a prestigious, luxury fabric design business that supply to the high end interior design industry. The UK market is of strategic significance to the company and in recent years the London operation has tripled in turnover.
The role of General Manager is extremely varied and will involve managing a team of 8 + staff to include showroom personnel, office staff and sales.
The main purpose of the General Manager role will be to run the London operation, managing the office and sales teams and pull the components of the business together- sales, marketing, PR, customer service. Other responsibilities include: strategic planning and analysis, HR/ recruitment management, financial management, customer service management, project management and facilities management. The General Manager will report to the Sales Director.
The General Manager will need to be smart, driven, self-starting, preferably have senior project sales and management experience, come from a business training or sales background in the high end interior product markets, be highly efficient and an excellent communicator and leader.
The preferred candidate will have experience in a similar business management role and have strong skills in team management within a small to medium business in the interiors industry.
