A great opportunity with a big-hitting global legal firm - looking for a Senior Manager Internal Communications (12 month FTC) to support the Global Head of Communications in ensuring that IC strategy, policies and channels are appropriate and relevant in support of the business strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

* IC strategy: work with the Global Head of Communications to set the strategic direction and priorities for IC globally and to ensure that the function meets business requirements. Monitor IC best practice and recommend improvements
* IC campaigns: plan and implement specific IC campaigns in support of the business and/or in support of marketing or PR-led campaigns
* Alignment of messages: work with senior colleagues in Communications to ensure the alignment of internal/external business messages
* Change communications: lead, project-manage and implement major business change programmes, ensuring early engagement with business owners
* IC support to offices, practice groups and support functions: advise the leaders of the global offices, practice groups and support functions on planning and delivery of effective internal communications
* Measurement/evaluation: support the firm's business leaders in using measurement to gauge messaging effectiveness and to inform proposed changes to communication approaches
* Global news service: manage the global intranet news service in line with business priorities
* Audience analysis: ensure IC plans are tailored
* Channels: select effectively from the suite of IC services and channels available, including social media
* Team management: manage the Internal Communications Executive in Belfast and a network of external suppliers
* Centre of expertise: collaborate and consult with other members of the global marketing, business development and communications team to provide an integrated approach to internal communications delivery, and to leverage and share best practice

You will have a substantial track record of achievement in a communications role in the corporate or professional services sectors and experience of acting as an internal consultant or business partner. You will understand the challenges and pressures faced by business leaders and has insight into the external environment and business trends. You'll possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be an effective team manager and team player, with the ability to develop relationships and influence people at all levels of the business.
