The Communications Executive will support the PR Manager to create the PR strategy building media relations and supporting the wider marketing and communications teams to drive continued awareness and business growth.


Client Details

Our client is a leading Food Services organisation servicing over 60,000 customers in the UK. They are a growing business and seek to continue to improve their products and services whilst providing market leading service which has led to continued growth over the past decade. The Communications Executive role will be based at the head office near Slough and will require some travel.


Description

The Communications Executive will have a hands on approach to all aspects of PR. This role involves working with other teams within the organisation to develop and deliver excellent PR strategy to complement the wider marketing strategy, key responsibilities include:

* Support the PR Manager to develop and manage the annual PR plans in line with their proposition, key messaging, marketing plans, business strategy and budget
* Pitch stories to local press and journalists
* Co-ordinate wider teams for timely contributions that are on message
* Manage the external agency in the execution of the PR plan, including press office, profiling the business and its people through speaker opportunities
* Attend company and industry events, award dinners and other opportunities to raise our company profile and build relationships with journalists and key industry figures
* Work closely with the internal communication manager to ensure messages are in alignment
* Support the planning and delivery of customer marketing advertising, and ad hoc support for sponsorship's and video creation


Profile

I am looking to speak to individuals with a track record in communications and PR from either within a in-house function or agency. You will be confident speaker, writer and to be able to build strong media relationships with an interest in the food industry. You will have a nose for a good story and be confident pitching to local media.


Job Offer

Salary on offer is up to £28,000 plus benefits
