Introduction

This is a full time office based role in Hook in Hampshire and reports to the Executive Director. It requires an individual with formal marketing experience and an entrepreneurial approach, which combines innovative but practical ideas with the skills and knowledge to autonomously implement initiatives.

This will be the first dedicated marketing role at the OT Practice so the Marketing Manager will be responsible for all OT Practice marketing and PR initiatives. The role will include marketing activities to recruit therapists to our network as well as growing our client base. The Marketing Manager will deliver all facets of marketing including media planning, brand building, lead generation, PR and event management.

They will work closely with the Executive Director, and other members of the executive team, to create a marketing and PR strategy, as well as being responsible for the subsequent planning and implementation of marketing initiatives and projects. The Marketing Manager will ensure the creative vision and delivery is authentic and maintain the integrity of our brand.

This all encompassing role requires a practical individual who is able to operate equally well at a strategic level as well as ‘on the ground' doing whatever needs to be done to achieve their goals, with high-level direction.

Details of the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core tasks:

  • Working with Executive Director and other executive team members to create a marketing plan
  • Doing market and competitor analysis for key markets
  • Research PR opportunities such as relevant publications and award events to create a PR plan
  • Keeping up to date with any relevant developments within the market
  • Planning and executing marketing initiatives and projects
  • Creating innovative and compelling marketing campaigns within budget
  • Reporting - delivering KPI reports to senior management
  • Where required sourcing and managing 3rd party suppliers/individuals for marketing activities and list management if required
  • Business development goals will include:
    • Develop the individual client business stream to increase repeat business and promote
    • The OT Practice services to existing clients to grow referrals
    • Increase new business referrals within individual client business stream
    • Develop new business leads for the key account business stream
    • Growth of the therapist network
  • Day to day tasks will include:
    • Building and maintaining marketing databases (including research)
    • Designing and creating newsletters
    • Copy writing for newsletters, articles, press release, website and other marketing materials
    • Commissioning and managing expert OTs for clinical copy writing
    • Managing The OT Practice social media presence and develop social media plan
    • Use Mailchimp for sending email campaigns
    • Support the SEO, digital advertising and PPC campaigns
    • Attend conferences as an exhibitor
    • Assist with internal communications
    • Research PR opportunitiesPlan and execute PR initiatives

Skills and qualifications

The following skills and qualifications will be required/desirable:

  • Marketing or related degree
  • At least 3 years' experience with planning and directing marketing activities
  • B2B and B2C marketing experience
  • Business development and strategic planning experience
  • Extremely strong project management skills
  • Able to demonstrate a record of delivering successful marketing campaigns
  • Excellent communication and copy writing skills
  • Good creative skills -understanding of design and some basic design skills (knowledge of
  • Photoshop, Illustrator or similar design application advantageous)
  • Mailchimp experience is desirable.
  • Experience with award submissions is desirable
  • Strong understanding of PR and a proven track record of success
  • Good practical working knowledge of SEO and SEM campaigns
  • Excellent technical skills, particularly with data (list) management and HTML newsletter creation
  • Good understanding of social media platforms and planning/managing/executing social media initiatives
  • For future growth to be able to demonstrate experience of leading and empowering a team to deliver success
  • Experience in the private healthcare market and/or an understand of Occupational Therapy is desirable
  • Willing to undertake a DBS check
