Client Details

Michael Page is a well-known and extremely trusted agency across the country, operating in a number of disciplines and sectors.

As an agency their training scheme is second to none whether you are entering into recruitment for the first time or coming in as a seasoned professional

The bonus package at Michael Page is not only competitive but operates in a unique way that encourages team-work. This means that as an agency our recruiters are not acting in selfish ways but operating as a unit, which ultimately gives our clients and candidates the best possible service.

On top of this, we also offer a range of brilliant incentives- from all paid for trips to Oslo to ski or Florida to sunbathe all the way to offering you a free night out; these are ran all year round

One of the biggest attraction points of Michael Page is how we promote from within; Michael Page is a career and not just an agency. Everyone from CEO downwards has started as a Recruitment Consultant, we believe strongly from promoting from within and this is demonstrated by every team and director within our agency.

The role of a recruitment consultant is an extremely varied role where no two days are the same. We believe that the only way to be able match candidates and clients together successfully is to make sure you are meeting and getting them to know them. A large part of your time will be spent away from your desk getting to know the people you are helping to recruit or helping with their job search.

As a Recruitment consultant you will be tasked from taking your desk (which will be starting warm-hot as opposed to cold) and growing it further- this is done through business development, networking and at all times promoting the best practice possible.

When helping a client fill a position your job will involve: meeting the client and understanding what it is they are looking for; writing a job advert and sourcing for candidates; meeting candidates and ensuring that they are the right fit for the role; helping arrange and prep candidates for interview and ultimately seeing the process through to the candidates first day and beyond.

At Michael Page we believe that there is no specific background that makes the perfect Recruitment Consultant due to wide variation of backgrounds that we have just in our Manchester Office. From retired Olympic athletes, to ex-services all the way to field sales, business development executives and people fresh from University- we have seen countless people from all walks of life proof that they can make a good Recruitment Consultant

The things that most successful Recruitment Consultants have in common are: a strong desire to achieve and learn, a solid work ethic with a character that is not afraid to roll their sleeves up, someone with a desire to build a career in an industry that is going from strength to strength and someone who enjoys working in a social environment.

Job Offer

The salary at Michael Page is amongst the most competitive whether coming in at a graduate level or with years of experience. Our bonus structure is impressive, uncapped and gives you the opportunity to significantly increase your earnings every year.
