The Role

We have now embarked on an ambitious marketing and student recruitment plan which capitalises on a wider change programme taking place in the university. Following a team reorganisation, this role has been established with a key purpose to produce exceptional content which will inform, excite and engage prospective students from awareness to enrolment.

Managing a team of two Marketing Officers, you will work across the directorate to establish effective content governance procedures, produce student recruitment-led content initiatives and ensure the refreshed brand is correctly represented across all our work.

The Person

An accomplished content manager, you will possess exceptional knowledge and skills in producing content for digital and traditional channels. Not only is this inherent in you, you will have the experience of transferring these skills to your team by instilling the ‘science' of effective project management and data-led monitoring with the ‘art' of creating exceptional content that achieves standout in a crowded marketplace.

It goes without saying that you will be a talented writer, with a flair for producing content for a range of different channels - and have a keen eye for detail. You will have managed large print and multimedia production projects (from brief to output) working with external agencies and in-house design teams.

You will be the sort of person who thrives on variety, is adept at multi-tasking and rises to the challenge of shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.

This role would suit an established marketing and communications professional, with a relevant degree and demonstrable content and management experience.

While you will be based at the University's Kingston Hill campus, the role will also require you to visit other campus sites and locations on a regular basis.


Our Marketing and Communications Directorate provides a strategic operational and advisory service to the University on all aspects of external promotion and internal publicity. This includes UK and international marketing, student recruitment, admissions, widening participation, market research, website management, social media, media relations, branding, copy writing, editing, design and print. We are committed to providing inspiring, accessible and relevant information in a timely and useful manner. This role is based in the Marketing and UK Student Recruitment team within the directorate.
