My client is a leading name in Consumer Electronics, boasting impressive sales of TV & Home Cinema, Audio, Visual and Mobile products worldwide. Driven by innovation and technology, their sales in the UK come through key retail channels; for mobile this includes network operators such as O2 and EE. Due to growth in the team, we are actively recruiting for the job of Channel Marketing Manager to manage and optimise marketing activities through key retail partnerships.

Your new role
As Channel Marketing Manager, you will challenge the norm to encourage innovation and new ways of achieving retail sales. You will explore the relationships with key retailers and utilise the given budget to maximise marketing opportunities to deliver sales growth of Mobile products. You will develop consumer market campaigns that deliver all ATL & TTL collateral for Mobile and set the tonality & messaging for the UK & Ireland as a whole. You will do this by working alongside National Account Managers to develop effective annual Sales in and Sales out plans for a number of key customers/channels which deliver commercial and brand targets, including any consumer promotions, competitions etc.

Insight and customer understanding also plays a heavy part in this job: you will work with the Research and Insights Manager to maintain a high level of understanding of the UK Mobile market, its key trends, the brand's performance vs competitors, and the performance of each key account. You will then monitor the performance impact of all key initiatives and evaluate all major activity to ensure that the brand understands the effectiveness, ROI and efficiency of all investment.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have knowledge and experience working within a mobile communications environment, either for a competitor brand or network operator, in order to understand the dynamic of the market. B2B and B2C experience is both useful given you will be both building key relationships with retailers and creating campaign activity directed at consumers. You will use your previous experience in insight generation and be able to work with key data from sources such as GFK and Nielsen. You will certainly need your previous experience in a retail/customer/channel marketing role, with broad marketing communications channels experience (including online and offline) and an understanding of key marketing fundamental concepts - brand value, positioning, consumer insight, sales out vs sales in focus.

We are looking for a robust, confident individual capable of maintaining focus in sometimes difficult situations, strong enough to drive change and innovation despite resistance.

What you'll get in return
