The Head of Content Marketing will report to the Director of Marketing and will be instrumental in the development of a Content and Organic Search Marketing Strategy. The opportunities in the role will be both varied and challenging and will include the following:

Content creation and development

* Sources new content ideas based on brand positioning.
* Takes brand and digital campaign creative originated from agencies and adapts it for application for social media and site content.
* Seeks ways to mobilise content through a range of channels - including but not confirmed to, video, photography, visuals, infographics, static images and GIFs.
* Constantly reviews news and media channels to uncover content angles.
* Identifies opportunities for link-building through campaign creation.
* Creates and manages 'on-line PR'.

Content activation

* Turns stories and news items into copywritten content.
* Uses Wordpress to upload and test replaced or fresh content.
* Leads content direction with agencies in the development of any new campaign briefs.
* Actively monitors content performance through organic search stats, optimises content on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations for wider content improvements.
* Designs, constructs and delivers a Content Testing Programme.
* Understands and applies appropriate social media content and tone versus website content, developing copy connections and links to drive site traffic.

Content measurement

* Continuously monitors site stats and social media KPIs to identify content successes and improvements.
* Provides insight and hypotheses from site and social media results which enables further improvements.
