My client, a financial services business based in the Heathrow area, is looking for an expert writer to own all written content creation across trade press websites and magazines, presentation creation, roadshow attendance, conferences, marketing collateral, web, email and social media channels.

My client has recently grown exponentially and is looking to continue that growth with this new and exciting role within the Marketing team. Using the latest technology and backed by significant private equity, they have the advantage of not having any legacy systems or processes; everything is designed from scratch with the customer at the centre of the business.


As PR & Content Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for:

* Leading the definition and delivery of the PR and written content strategy and roadmap, working with key stakeholders in Product and Sales to ensure alignment

* Championing PR and written content throughout the business

* Monitoring all written communications to external parties for tone of voice, spelling, punctuation and grammar

* Measuring and reporting performance of all PR related activity and assess against agreed goals

* Making recommendations for activity and budgets

* Owning the written brand style guide, establishing tone of voice and language guidelines for clear, consistent communications

* Owning the written content of all external communications, ensuring clear, timely and compliant messaging

* Owning any PR or copywriting agency relationships

* Managing all day-to-day trade media journalist relationships

* Monitoring competitor commentary

* Owning the day-to-day management of the PR budget

* Assist the HR team in the creation of internal communications via intranet etc.


The successful PR & Content Manager will:

* Have a broad skill set across written content creation, including press releases, blogs/articles, marketing material, emails, letters and scripts for conference speeches, sales presentations and videos

* Be able to create compelling messages that attract attention

* Have several years experience of writing for a similar audience

* Have experience of managing press relationships

* Have knowledge of the various marketing tools used across digital and print channels

* Have influencing and negotiating skills

* Hold a CIM Diploma or equivalent and ideally have a relevant degree

My client will also be very interested to look at candidates from a journalism background with experience writing for a financial services title.

Job Offer

Up to £35,000 + benefits
