An award winning British furniture and interior product design studio is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their small but fast-growing team.

The company has become well known for their design collaborations that extend beyond furniture and interiors.  They have established a defining style drawing on contemporary and classical craft traditions and have captured the attention of the press and media for their best-selling collections and high-profile pieces. Their furniture designs can be found in some of the world's most prestigious stores.

The role of Business Development Manager will function to work alongside the directors on expanding the business through 3 key areas to include: wholesale, brand licensing and the interior design / A&D sector.

The company require an experienced candidate who has gained strong experience within the interiors industry and who is sociable, professional and articulate. The Business Development Manager will be required to strategically work on developing the wholesale, brand licensing and interior design sectors. This will be very much a client facing sales role and therefore proven experience of presenting and selling to b2b clients will be required. The preferred candidate will be well connected and full of ideas on how to develop and expand the sales channels.

The role will be based at the studio and office in West London alongside the small team of 8 staff. However, it will also involve frequent trips to meet clients predominantly in London but occasionally in other locations so the Business Development Manager will need to be prepared to travel. The role will also involve representing the company at all key industry events including Design Junction and other exhibitions in Milan, New York and Paris when required.

This role suits an entrepreneurial person with lots of energy combined with a strong commercial acumen and sound negotiation skills. It could suit an accomplished business development manager who is looking for a new career move, alternatively it could suit an A&D sales executive who would like to expand their role into other areas of business development.

A competitive basic salary is on offer along with a commission and bonus package.
