Michael Page are proud to be partnering with a hugely successful FMCG food business, based near Doncaster. They are seeking either an established or up and coming Category Manager to come on board and work across the major mults.


Client Details

Our client is an innovation-led food business who manufacture and distribute both branded and own label chilled and frozen products across Retail and Food Service clients.


Description

The successful Category Manager will be responsible for the following:

* Analysis of all category and retailer sales data with a key focus on range and space growth
* Producing monthly category reports and dashboards to provide direction to the commercial, brand and development teams
* Contribute to the development of account specific plans covering sales, promotions, distribution and marketing activity
* Provide category insight to influence current and future direction and identify sales opportunities
* Deliver the category fundamentals around space and merchandising targets
* Proactively manage strategic own brand category partnerships and support the Commercial Controller on all strategic reviews

* Supporting the Category and Brand Innovation Manager on branded presentations
* Working alongside the Commercial Managers on all commercial customer reviews
* Responsible for all internal and external marketplace reports, gap analysis, newness reports and promotional tracking

* Assisting Category Commercial Controller to drive a category management approach to business development
* Provide shopper insight


Profile

The successful Category Manager candidate will have the following key attributes:



* Educated to degree level
* Experience in dealing with multiple retailers
* Proactively identifies & unlocks opportunities
* Numerate with a good understanding of drivers
* Proven ability in analysing and interpreting all available data
* Able to assist building of Customer & Account plans
* Demonstrates good customer awareness
* Excellent relationship building skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Demonstrates a high level of drive and tenacity
* Diligent, confident and assertive at all levels
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
