An award winning games studio in Central London seeks a talented Lead UI Designer to work on UI and branding projects across their games brands.

Lead UI Designer - £45,000-£55,000 - London

To lead a team of graphic designers, organise and independently run projects including internal corporate work, brand identity, games, UI and responsive platforms.

- Be a role model for team members, leading by example.
- Proactively find out and be aware of business priorities as well as understanding the value and costs of projects.
- Schedule work in priority of business need and keep momentum of projects going, ensuring key targets and deadlines are met.
- Proactive communication with senior stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on the progress of work to the Head of department.
- Develop team members through training and encouragement, giving them clear guidance and objectives to pursue in order to achieve the best results.
- Ensure team members are up to scratch and supplying the best quality of work.
- Actively build the skills of the team to drive the success of others.
- Ensure team members are displaying professional behaviour at work ensuring company and team policies are adhered to.
- Ability to create design templates and systems and documentation of processes for others to use and follow.

- An excellent understanding of all graphic design fundamentals e.g. layouts, typography, UI, colour, space with the ability teach and train more junior members of the team.
- Be an open, collaborative and inclusive communicator.
- Be fluent in collaborating with PO's, UX designers, PMO's and game designers, creating strong relationships with other teams in the business to allow excellent workflow and communication.
- Excellent presentation and networking skills.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Adaptable to changing pace and priorities.
- Be an excellent problem solver.
- A highly proactive attitude.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Have exceptional attention to detail and ensure team members produce quality work that meets the business requirements and is of the highest standards - quality check of everything that goes live.
- Recruit and initiate training of new team members.
- The ability to direct, motivate, support and guide other team members.
- An excellent understanding of the multi-platform world and stay up to date with new advances.

Experience required:
- Has successfully led a number of medium and large projects.
- Has shown the ability to plan projects and estimate the resource needed.
- Has directed and trained team members.
- Has effectively run agendas at meetings with a group of senior stakeholders.
- Has delivered significant process improvements for the team and others involved in the design process.
- Has shown the ability to network effectively around the organisation to draw on expertise to enhance project delivery.
- Has demonstrated the ability to shuffle projects to adapt to new business priorities.
