You will have responsibility for managing the production of a suite of template proposal documents for select practice areas. The purpose of these templates is to unlock future efficiency's through a questionnaire based document automation system, and provide a consistent proposal for similar types of work across the firm.

Professional Services organisation based in West Yorkshire.


This role will be different to the usual bid management roles, as you will not be managing any bids. But you will use your years of bidding and proposal experience to produce a series of engaging and attractive templates for select practice areas, as all the same principles apply.

You will work closely with the Bids Team Manager, Business Development Managers, Bids Content Writer, and key practice area stakeholders within the to ensure that each template produced provides pre-written options for the end user to select. An initial draft could be gathered from reviewing past submissions. But a more generic draft needs to be tailored for each team, based on an understanding of the future requirements. This must then be refined and redrafted.

You will be working alongside our Bids Content Writer, who is working on a wider document automation project. It is likely that there will be some cross-over between the two areas of work.


* Extensive experience writing bids, providing advice on approach and strategy (ideally, 3+ years)
* Delivering small, focused internal projects

Legal services sector experience preferred, other Professional Services experience considered

* Managing, guiding and advising on bidding best practice
* Excellent writing skills and editing skills
* Understanding a buyer's perspective
* Strong document production skills (MS Word)
* Motivated, inquisitive and confident with good communication skills

Project and time management skills

Job Offer

A 12 month contract with a salary range between £45-£65k depending on experience.
