A medium sized, fast-moving & fast-thinking, vibrant media and events company with an Agency flair, based in London.


Description

As the Marketing Manager for this innovative Media & Events company in London you will gather client insights from relationship managers and combining this with industry insight, will develop, plan and lead the implementation of the annual marketing plan, developing both the brand and global reach of the new Event offering.

Job Purpose:

* To support the Event Manager on developing tactical marketing strategies through the creation of a marketing plan for the show.
* To be a part of creating the Event image and position within the marketplace by developing plans and partnerships to drive online traffic and assist client acquisition.

* To increase event reach towards new delegates (buyers and sellers) through digital platforms and brand extensions.

* To support the Event Manager's annual and long-term show strategy through short and medium term marketing strategies that enhance the Event brand within the marketplace; driving traffic to web pages, growing social media interaction/engagement and client acquisition.

* To facilitate internal and external communication, ensuring all milestones of the show cycle meet key deadlines and are supported with appropriate collateral.

* To lead the gathering of industry and consumer insight to support strategic thinking.

* To support the Sales & Travel Relations teams by creative timely marketing actions.

Profile

The successful Marketing Manager will have the following essential knowledge and skills:

* 5-8 years experience working within a fast-paced environment
* A relevant marketing qualification is desirable
* Strategic thinking around public relations and brand management in the media

* Self starter and quick learner

* Breadth of thinking across multiple channels

* Good understanding of marketing in the travel sector

* Experience across all channels of the marketing mix

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong organisational abilities, accuracy and attention to detail

* Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

* Strong time and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task

* Good computer literacy, particularly with Word, Power point, Excel, Outlook and Database management
