My client, a leading consumer business is looking to appoint a Technical Product Manager based in Manchester. You will be part of a small team in a busy marketing department effectively driving and taking ownership of the new product development management within the division.
You must be experienced with a strong technical ability and a good understanding of new product development (npd) ideally within Technology/IT sector.

Key Responsibilities|:
Amend the product line-up for the different product ranges
Provide European market knowledge to assist global HQ in fixing European product specifications
Evaluate and research competitor machines, provide feedback to all stakeholders
Establish and manage a process for developing new ideas and suggestions for future product development within Europe
Provide timely updates to the product line-up summarising production timing's, and key selling points
Ensure internal systems are populated with accurate and relevant information
Prepare new product marketing sales guides for each product launch along with the product line-up handbook and relevant presentations for the annual budget meeting
Oversee customer database making sure all products are managed in a timely manner, supporting global head office
Collate and summarise requests providing periodic updates to management and ongoing reviews with input and recommendations
Ensure product training materials are accurate and professionally prepared
Give training courses to local offices and customers as required
Assist local subsidiaries with pre sales technical support
Where needed, visit European offices to explain, discuss or train offices on new products

Skills Required:
Educated to A'Level/Degree Standard
You must have recent new product development experience, within a technology/IT/mobile environment - preferred
Must have a product marketing background, with npd, product launches, competitor research/analysis and able to demonstrate taking a product to market
Able to put together new marketing collateral for new product launches
Experience of working with integration technologies - desirable
Broad knowledge of the different technologies but not limited to Cloud, Mobile
Good knowledge of Microsoft office (especially, Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word)
Experience of project management demonstrating time management skills with ability to prioritise workloads
Able team player whilst self motivated to deliver individual projects
Excellent presentation, demonstration, and communication skills
