This is an exciting business development opportunity within one of the top 50 litigation firms in the world. The Business Development Manager will be tasked with facilitating client development efforts through marketing projects and program development and implementation.

The scope of the role is very appealing as it encompasses aspects of both business development and marketing and involves a high degree of involvement with partners and associates. You will lead business development and marketing activities in a way which promotes the firm's profile and enables revenue growth. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of practice group, team, and individual lawyer marketing plans. You will facilitate and support lawyer and practice-level business development efforts, including presentations, pitches, and proposals and identification of sales and cross-selling opportunities. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating, planning and executing client seminars, webinars and conferences and must co-ordinate market research to monitor industry news, sites and competitor activity. From a communications perspective the role holder will act as the main point of contact for the London office and will co-ordinate with lawyers and marketing colleagues to produce marketing communications materials, facilitate legal directory submissions, manage lawyers use of social media in accordance with firm policy and develop and maintain local content for the firm's website, capabilities materials, surveys and internal databases.

This role would suit a very bright graduate with at least 3 years' professional marketing proven BD and marketing experience gained in the legal sector to include marketing communications experience and a sound knowledge online research and marketing resources. The Business Development Manager must be a strong team player with excellent organisational, team building, communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work closely with partners and associates and to influence key partners and decision making groups.
