This organisation is looking for an Appeals and Mid-Value Development Manager to join their high performing, fast-paced team in central London for a 12 month fixed term contract.

This organisation is a well-established health charity that is a household name across the UK.


Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all warm and cold direct mail activity
* Line management of a team of 4
* Employ direct mail and digital activity to drive the acquisition of new supporters and maximise fundraising from existing donors
* Implement stewardship models to increase retention of supporters
* Data selection and analysis to deliver targeted appeals that increase acquisition rates
* Drive the innovation of new products to increase income
* Manage the creative aspect of DM campaigns that fits into the overall strategy across warm and cold DM activity
* Drive efficiency within the team by developing new ideas and consistently reviewing the reach of your activity
* Manage external agencies and ensure work is completed on time and within budget
* Undertake campaign analysis with the team to ensure selections are appropriately targeted and make recommendations and improvements off the back of this
* Manage the team's budget
* Undertake regular reviews of supporter care materials to ensure a consistent and appropriate support journey for all donors


Person Specification:

* Experience in a similar DM role, preferably within a large department
* Proven line management experience (essential)
* A thorough knowledge of direct marketing within a charity and an awareness of the different techniques
* Previous digital campaigns experience is desirable
* Post-campaign analysis experience and an ability to make recommendations and improvements to current ways of working in a strategic manner
* Experience of managing external suppliers
* Budget management experience
* Excellent attention to detail
* An interest and prior experience of working on the creative side of DM campaigns
* Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team

Job Offer

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of between £35,000 and £40,000 depending on experience.
