Develop and deliver high-quality written communications and editorial guidance to teams and individuals across the organisation, supporting them to achieve their goals.


Client Details

Large Public Sector organisation based in Birmingham


Description

* Draft, edit and proof read a wide range of written materials.





* Provide editorial guidance to, and liaise with, internal clients across the organisation.







* Review document drafts at a variety of stages to ensure consistency, appropriate style, tone of voice and accuracy in adherence to organisation templates and branding guidelines.





* Carry out thorough and accurate proofing and sense checks on final draft documents ahead of deadlines for sending them to print.





* Ensure, with support from the Senior Editor, that style guides and tone of voice principles are implemented across all written communications.





* Prepare documents for publication online and in print.





* Build a good understanding of the business and its wide range of internal and external audiences.


Profile

* Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills - able to translate complex technical messages and ideas into strong written copy for a variety of different readerships.







* Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the creative processes and media.





* Demonstrable technical knowledge of software commonly used in creative and design processes, specifically Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.





* Demonstrable communication skills - able to engage and negotiate/gain agreement/buy in with colleagues and other teams - build productive and effective working relationships at all levels.





* Close attention to detail.





* Professionally experienced and skilled writer, editor and proof reader within an editorial team.





* Demonstrable experience of organising and managing complex projects and production schedules to strict timelines and demanding targets/objectives.


Job Offer

£200 to £280 a day PAYE / Umbrella

6 month contract
