The primary focus of this role as Marketing & BD Co-ordinator is on delivery and administration with a view to running initiatives and developing strategies for this global powerhouse of a firm. Working under the direction and supervision of the M&BD Managers, this role is integral in helping to drive forward the FIS and Insurance Sector approach, to ensure that the firm develop clients, raise their profile, deliver thought leadership and win new business.

You will support the M&BD Managers in conjunction with the global heads of the Industry Sector Groups (ISGs), other sector partners and members of your team, to develop and implement the ISGs M&BD plans, in line with their business plans and objectives. You will be helping to co-ordinate activities with the central marketing communications functions to ensure prompt, seamless service delivery in areas such as analysis, publications and event organisation. Your role will include:

M&BD Planning & Budgeting: providing input and intelligence to develop, monitor and implement the M&BD Plans and budgets for the sector groups.

Client Development: supporting the M&BD Managers, the ISG Heads and Core Teams to oversee the portfolio of clients within the Industry Sectors. Encouraging use of the firm's CRM database (Interaction).

Pitching, targeting and new business generation: supporting on FIS and Insurance sector pitches, including drafting proposals and credentials, keeping all standard pitch materials up to date, developing relationships across practice and regional M&BD teams to ensure access to relevant credentials and collaboration on global panel reviews and multi-jurisdictional pitches.

Marketing Campaigns, Thought Leadership and Profile Raising: helping to create and implement integrated campaigns across the FIS and Insurance ISGs, planning and implementing marketing communications programmes, drafting, reviewing and updating practice and sector entries in directories, legal supplements and awards entries. Write and produce marketing communications.

Internal communication and knowledge sharing: co-ordinating the ISG core teams and various sub-groups to ensure they are meeting regularly, engaging effectively with the wider community of lawyers within the sectors. Develop and maintain the Industry Sector Intranet sites. Produce and distribute global internal newsletters and updates.

You will have experience of working in a business development/marketing role within a professional services environment. You will have good verbal and written communication skills with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to write compelling propositions and demonstrate a keen interest in self-development, with initiative, and a 'can do' attitude. Experience of working in one of the two Industry Sectors would be advantageous.
