NEW Business Development Manager- Competition, Regulation & Trade role with global law firm.

The Business Development Manager role will play a key role in supporting the Competition, Regulation & Trade practice at what is an exciting time for their global team, the global BD function and the wider firm. It involves a large amount of liaison with fellow business development colleagues, business services professionals and fee earners within the growing international network.

* Develop strong relationships with the fee earners and the know-how teams in the CRT practice.
* Develop equally strong relationships across BD so that you can effectively connect your practices with the wider network.
* Preparation of practice group business and marketing plans.
* Market segmentation and client targeting.
* Develop presentations/documents providing high level overview of group plans and achievements.
* Liaise with partners and BD colleagues on drafting practice and firm-wide pitches.
* Work with fee earners to develop strong key selling messages for pitches.
* Participate in/assist with the rehearsals of pitch teams.
* Manage communications including the debrief process internally and externally.
* Keep abreast of client issues to enable pro-active identification of business opportunities.
* Project manage and participate in client events.
* Develop the BD skills of the practice lawyers and raise awareness of BD services.
* Undertake research and analysis to identify targets for the practice groups and take responsibility for targeting initiatives.
* Identify and co-ordinate cross-selling opportunities with other practices, sectors and client teams.

Successful candidates will have previous Marketing and Business Development experience from within a law firm or professional services environment. You will have a strong understanding and awareness of CRT work and topical legal/ commercial issues. You will have a strong understanding of and demonstrated effort to achieve the team's common goals.
