Internal Communications Executive

My client is a challenger brand in the retail banking space, currently recruiting for an energetic, passionate internal Communications Executive to take ownership of the intranet (SharePoint), content creation and curation, sourcing news stories and acting as an internal ambassador to teams across the bank.

About the role:

-Planning and managing a vibrant set of communications channels, including emails, intranet, internal newsletter, Yammer, digital screens and more.

-Sourcing, writing and publishing engaging news content for all communications channels to bring the bank's vision and strategy to life.

-Creating the internal communications planning framework, supporting delivery of joined-up messaging.

-Acting as the go-to expert for internal channels, supporting colleagues with best practice on the best use and integration of the relevant channels.

-Being the intranet champion for key areas of SharePoint based intranet and acting as the administrator for the social platform, Yammer.

-Planning and delivery of bank-wide internal communications campaigns, from campaign to concept to execution, which will include agency relationship management.

-Preparing and executing materials to support financial calendar communications.

-Event management support of key bank-wide events, including the annual Employee Summit.

-Collaborating with stakeholders across the bank, being the go-to person for delivery of internal communications campaigns to engage and inspire colleagues across all sites.

-Liaising with creative agencies to produce branded collateral to support internal communications activity, e.g. events, e-cards, infographics.

-Supporting the delivery of internal communications insights through internal communications channels and dashboards.

-Playing a key role in support of Corporate Social Responsibility activity through supporting its execution and providing the internal community team with essential communications advice and support on promoting internal engagement.

-Collaboration with the PR Executive to support Corporate Affairs team.

Skills and experience required:

-Previous experience in an internal communications role.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Exemplary organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a high-pressured environment.

-Advanced user of full MS Office suite.

-Experience of SharePoint or similar content management system.

-A confident and proactive self-starter, able to manage own workload and delivery multiple projects for different stakeholders at any one time.

-Flexible and able to prioritise effectively.

-Excellent proven stakeholder management skills.

-Detail orientated and customer-focused.
