Truffle are looking for a Head of Communications / PR on a maternity contract for a fabulous high end interiors brand we love working with! 

The role will be responsible for creating and delivering the press, social and events strategy for the brand making sure it's engaging to their consumers and in-line with the brands Marketing agenda. You'll be supported by a wonderful PR assistant to achieve high-impact coverage across national, interiors, lifestyle and online media. 

Truffle are looking for a dynamic, creative individual with strong media contacts within the interiors and lifestyle industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one a well renowned brand who have a super luxury product offering, a great rep and large development plans for 2017.

The Job in a Nutshell

  • Maximise press coverage in print and online
  • Create a buzzing social community to drive brand loyalty and extend reach
  • Identify opportunities for and manage trade-focused events and press launches for new showroom openings
  • Oversee new business development for trade department and manage direct trade report

The PR part

  • Secure targeted press coverage through innovative stories and delivering regular brand and product news
  • Ensure all press requests are responded to with support from the Press Assistant providing timely and accurate info
  • Identify creative content to produce and issue regular press releases
  • Help create buzz for new product launches. Find fun and inventive ways to get the press' attention and to make sure Loaf is front of mind with our key set of media
  • Handle any potential crisis media management in line with brand guidelines
  • With support from the Press Assistant, ensure the smooth running of the press office
  • Look at ways we can go out of our way to do something really special for a journalist, or a simple feel-good something to make them smile!
  • Supported by the Press Assistant, continue to grow coverage in core targets from this influential online community
  • Identify and submit entries for relevant brand and industry awards
  • Monitor all media impact to ensure deliverables are being met, reporting on a weekly and monthly basis

The Social part

  • Host regular thought cloud meetings to generate ideas from the internal tams
  • Oversee weekly copy and timely posts for all social media platforms
  • Ensure visual content is regularly updated across Pinterest, Houzz, AtMine and Homify, supported by the Press Assistant
  • Engage with our media friends on social and check in with our blogger / online core targets list daily alongside the Press Assistant
  • Ensure press and online coverage is shared regularly through platforms
  • Monitor success of content through stats and referral traffic

The Trade part

  • Oversee new business development to ensure plans are actioned by the trade department to drive revenue from this area of the company
  • Manage direct trade report to ensure smooth running of department
  • Be responsible for drafting and issuing regular trade related brand and collection news 

The Ideal Person

  • At least five years' PR industry experience in an in-house or agency environment with excellent interiors industry contacts
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a natural ability to connect with people at all levels both internally, with press and suppliers
  • Experience of managing a team and comfortable with direct reports  
  • Accuracy and attention to detail at all times, ensuring all messaging and content is on-brand
  • Demonstrate initiative and be pro-active in self-motivating yourself and your team
  • A real can-do attitude with willingness to get stuck in and make great things happen
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task
  • A creative thinker with the ability to deliver exciting and interesting campaign and story ideas
  • A passion for interiors
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Photoshop
